Colorful Urban Sunrise Photos

I hadn’t been out shooting for a while, and definitely hadn’t taken any recent architecture or cityscape photos, so I headed downtown to Denver’s Union Station. It was early on a Sunday morning so pedestrian traffic was pretty minimal, but the clouds and the light cooperated for some intriguing skies.  Placing the camera on a tripod low to the ground and using an 18mm focal length allowed me to capture both the train platform in the foreground and the modern curving roof structure acting like a window to the early morning sky.  I really like how the new modern light rail concourse contrasts with the original vintage Union Station building and the well recognized ” Travel by Train” sign.
