Fine Art Photography of Natural & Built Landscapes

Wander without ever leaving the frame with images that capture the soul of wild places and the spirit of human design.  From the untamed landscapes of Colorado and the American Southwest to the edges of the Pacific Coast, vibrant cityscapes, and the thoughtful designs of human creativity, each of my photographs tells its own unique story through exceptional light and a compelling composition. Published in Outdoor Photographer, Landscape Photography Magazine, and NationalGeographic.com, and exhibited in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles, all of my images begin the same way, standing somewhere long enough to see the light change. These are the photographs that transform your walls into windows on the world.

The Photography Collection

Explore my photography galleries spanning Colorado mountains, Southwest canyons, Pacific coastlines, cityscapes, waterfalls, and classic cars. Each image is from a place I’ve stood, waited, and watched the light do something worth remembering. Some took one try, others took years of going back until the light finally cooperated.  I hope you discover landscape photographs that resonate with you, make you pause and reflect, or simply inspire you. Please contact Brian with any questions or for a consultation.

The Artist

Brian Kerls photographing at White Sands National Park
Light, color, and timing are the tools I use in every photograph, to create images that make you feel as if you were there, breathing the mountain air, wandering the city streets, or strolling on the beach at sunset.

Brian Kerls is a Colorado landscape photographer driven by a life-long love of adventure and exploration. Whether hiking remote trails in the Colorado mountains, chasing golden hour light in the canyons of Utah, or waiting for the sun to set along the Pacific Coast, his photography captures the raw beauty and quite drama of the world around us.

Inspired by the diverse natural and urban scenes of the American West, Brian's richly detailed, immersive images invite you to step into the scene and experience it firsthand. His work has been featured in national publications and his fine art prints are collected by private buyers, interior designers, and corporate clients across the country.
