New Winter Mountain Photos

Even though I’ve been hard at work on my website re-design, I did find some time to get out and enjoy the mountains this winter. Below are several new landscape photos highlighting the beauty of Colorado’s magnificent mountains and snowy peaks in winter.

While Dallas Divide in southwestern Colorado is famous for colorful autumn scenes of aspen forests agains the rugged peaks of the San Juans it also makes a delightful winter mountain landscape. Here, I thought black and white added the perfect touch to the already stark winter environment and the sweeping afternoon clouds added some drama to the blue sky. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section!

This black and white image shows the clouds rolling in over Peak One and Ten Mile Peak on a winter afternoon. At just under 13,000′, both peaks lie in the Ten Mile Range, rising above the town of Frisco, in Summit County Colorado. I’d love to see your comments below!

After a day of skiing I shot this late winter sunset lighting up the clouds over Arapahoe Basin ski resort in Colorado. I’d love to see your comments below!

For quite a while I’ve wanted to create an image that encompassed all of the five peaks of Breckenridge Ski Resort. This past winter I was finally able to put it together with this 9 image panorama taken from Boreas Pass Road. Be sure to scroll through all the photos to see it in detail – it’s a huge image that can be printed up to 9′ wide! I’d love to see your comments below!
