Colorful Aspens

On a misty autumn morning outside of Aspen, Colorado I had planned on hiking to the Maroon Bells to get some shots of the peaks with early snow and fall colors. Along the way, the weather moved in and the mountains vanished behind a curtain of clouds and rain. But just off the trail, a grove of aspens revealed itself—leaves ablaze in gold, orange, and crimson. During a brief lull in the rain I was able to compose this Colorado fall foliage photograph and preserve a moment of serenity in the forest where every leaf was glowing with the warmth of the season.  Printed to order on archival paper, canvas, acrylic, or metal in sizes up to 48×72. Ready to hang, and it ships in about a week.
