Scenic Hike in the Rocky Mountains

I set out very early on this June morning for a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.  I was hoping to capture an early summer mountain scene, however the late season snowfall made it look more like the middle of winter.  While the abundant late season snowfall in the park considerably slowed down my hiking, it made for a great Colorado mountain landscape photograph!  This multi-image panorama of Notchtop Mountain rising above Lake Helene was created from two landscape photos stitched together using Adobe Photoshop Elements.  For maximum depth of field I used an aperture of f/22 with a 1/25 second exposure at ISO 100.  The 16mm focal length was able to encompass the alpine lake and surrounding mountain peaks while still providing sufficient details of the rocky face of Notchtop Mountain.  I hope you enjoy the photo and remember to get out and experience the great outdoors!
